Fitzgerald's Reno History:
Fitzgerald's Reno was located next to the famous Reno Arch.  It was built in 1976 by Lincoln Fitzgerald with a "luck of the Irish" theme throughout. After Fitzgerald's death in 1981, his widow sold the property in 1986 to the Lincoln Management Company for million.  Fitzgerald's Reno was the last of 4 properties owned by Fitzgeralds Gaming after the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2000. The casino's doors closed for good November 2008.  In 2011, the property was turned into CommRow with the world's tallest climbing wall constructed on the exterior.  CommRow struggled and closed in 2013.  Today, the property is the Whitney Peak Hotel - Reno's first and only non-gaming and non-smoking independent
hotel.
