What is a Silver Strike?
A Silver Strike is a Limited Edition Gaming Token which is won from a special slot machine and is in a protective plastic holder. People from all over the world collect, buy, sell and trade these unique gaming tokens. The first Silver Strikes were won from special slot machines in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada in 1992. The tokens have been issued with redeemable values of , , , , , , , 0 and 0. The most common denomination is .
Reno/Tahoe International Airport:
The Reno/Tahoe International Airport is named after both the city of Reno and the nearby Lake Tahoe. It was built in 1929 by Boeing Transport Inc and named Hubbard Field after a Boeing Air Transport VP, Eddie Hubbard. It was then acquired by United Airlines in 1936 and then purchased by the City of Reno in 1953. The first terminal building was completed in time for the 1960 Winter Olympics held his Squaw Valley, California. The ticketing lobby and concourses were built in 1979.
