Shooting Star Casino:
The Shooting Star Casino is located in Mahnomen, Minnesota, a small town about 4 hours north west of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/ St. Paul) and about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Fargo, North Dakota. The casino is owned and operated by the White Earth Nation. The property opened in 1992 and includes 386 rooms, five restaurants, meeting space, spa, RV campground and more. The word Mahnomen means wild rice in Ojibwe.
