Description

Casino Silver Strikes are tokens that drop out of "Silver Strike" slot machines when a specific reel combination is hit.  The person who "wins" the silver strike token could either turn it in at the casino cage for the denomination printed on it (usually ) or keep it as a souvenir.
These Silver Strike machines were very popular in the mid to late 1990's, but some disputes between the casinos who placed these machines on their floor and the token manufacturer led to many casinos pulling the machines despite their popularity which generated a large collector's market.
Every casino had their own design and most released different series of tokens.  The majority of these silver strike tokens were .999 silver (but look for the silver stamp to be sure).  Currently there are Silver Strike machines at the 4 Queens, the Plaza and the El Cortez in downtown Las Vegas. There was also a Silver Strike machine placed in the Route 66 Casino in New Mexico in 2019.
