    The St. Croix Chippewa are Ojibwe people who are Wisconsin's original inhabitants.  They were not federally recognized or represented for decades and are considered "the lost tribe".  The tribe own and operate the St. Croix Casinos in Turtle Lake, Danbury and Hertel along with a variety of convenience stores.
